Ad Campaign Naming Conventions

Most of our ad & client tracking is based on the naming conventions of our ad campaigns.

Each campaign should be for:

1) One client

2) One promo

3) One promo code

The campaign naming convention

Client | Promo Name | Promo Code | Campaign Theme Or Idea

Example: AF 7 Figure | Benna Book | MKT351666 | Tax Money

Don’t know what to name a campaign?

Here’s a list of clients and their corresponding promos

How do I determine the Promo Code?

You can usually determine this based on the promo link. it should always be a 8 – 10 character alpha numeric code

E.g. for

https://secure.palmbeachgroup.com/chain?cid=MKT343105&eid=MKT346586

the promo code is the “eid” code (“MKT346586“)

E.g. for

https://pro.agorafinancial.com/p/TEK_secretpot2_0217/PTEKU105/

the promo code is PTEKU105

Creating Split Tests

We use optimize.google.com to produce split tests.

Naming convention:

Experiment name – Promo Code | Client/Offer | Network | Anything else you want

Each variant must also start with the redirect promo code – Promo Code | Anything else | that you want

The this convensions help us tightly track how we’re spending against each promo code.
